STOPPEL HOTEL HOUSE RULES

  • LOBBY & QUIET HOURS:
    • Front desk is staffed 9am to 9pm (mountain time)
    • Quiet hours 9pm to 7am – If you become aware of a disruptive guest please contact management immediately by text, phone or in-person.
  • RESERVATIONS:
    • All reservations and registration must be guaranteed with a valid major credit card in order to hold the room reservation. Cash is acceptable as payment at the time of check-in.
    • No full or partial refunds will be issued to guests who check-out, including those ejected from the property for violation of our guest rules and policies, before their intended date of departure.
    • Cancellations – The Stroppel Hotel is not responsible for weather conditions, personal emergencies, or schedule changes. Reservations must be cancelled 7 days prior to your arrival day in order to avoid a cancellation fee.
    • Guaranteed Reservations & No-Show Charges – All reservations will be secured with a valid major credit card. Guest(s) must be 18 years and older. Your credit card guarantees your reservation. Reservations will be held until 11am the morning following your scheduled arrival date. If you have not checked in by that time, a “no-show” charge of one night plus tax will be charged and your reservation cancelled.
  • CHECK-IN:
    • Check-In is between 3 pm and 9 pm – Arrangements for an earlier or later check-in time can be arranged with management prior to arrival.
    • In the interest of security & to prevent fraud Government issued ID must be present at the time of Check-In
    • Payment will be made at the time of Check-In
  • CHECK-OUT:
    • Check-Out is by 11am (placing key at front desk or leaving in unlocked room) – Please contact management at the front desk if you would like to retain your room beyond this time.
  • PRIVACY:
    • As part of our commitment to guest safety, employees will not disclose the identity, room number or presence of a guest to anyone other than appropriate law enforcement or government agencies.
    • Engaging in any activity, including social media, Craigslist, or other posts that might jeopardize the safety and relative privacy of any guest or employee or brand of The Stroppel Hotel, will not be tolerated.
  • LIABILITY:
    • We are not responsible for damaged, lost or stolen items
    • No child or pet is to be left unattended and are to be supervised at all times. Damage done by pet or child is the responsibility of the owner and/or parent.
  • NON-PAYMENT:
    • Any payment past due 24-hours will result in the guest’s items being removed from the room and being locked away until full payment has been received. The guest will receive a monthly $50.00 storage fee for each month the invoice has not been paid.  If three months is past, the items will be sold and proceeds placed towards invoice.  If the items cannot be sold they will be donated to charity of hotel's choice .
 
  • BATHS / PLUNGES:
      • No foreign items are to be brought into the plunges, no pets and no unsupervised children. NO GLASS WHATSOEVER. If you drop an item and leave it in the water, please inform management. This may lead to an obstruction in our drain.
      • No Bath Oil, beads, fragrances or any other fluids to be poured into the plunges. You will be charged a $200 cleaning fee, per person per plunge.
      • Please notify management and sign the sheet at the time of your plunge and departure.  In case of emergency we need to account for all guests and patrons in the baths. We will also inspect the plunges prior to your departure.
      • Digital Commercial-grade thermometers are provided for your informed consent of use.  
      • Each guest is entitled to one 30-minute plunge a day (anything exceeding that will be charged $10 a bath) or unless otherwise purchased in upgrade. 
      • Children under 3 years not permitted in the water. Children still in diapers/pullups must have swim diapers. No disposable diapers in the baths.
      • Baths are open 9am to 9pm (last plunge 8:30pm – due to 30-minute limit) and will be locked 9pm to 9am the following morning, please arrange with management for a later or earlier plunge during business hours. Additional fees for out-of-hours plunges may apply.
      • Each plunge guest must sign these rules.  If these rules are broken, you will be charged cleaning and damage fees at the discretion of ownership.
      • If you choose to drink alcohol while utilizing the plunges, please note you do so at your own risk.  If drinking leads to damage or extreme mess in the plunges or changing rooms, you will be charged a cleanup fee.  Please pack out the bottles or cans of alcoholic beverages.  
      • Do not exit or linger in the lobby or outside hotel with only a towel.  NO NUDITY.  Street clothes must be worn to interact with other guests in the lobby.  Please keep lobby/plunge door closed.
      • The Stroppel Hotel and Mineral Baths are not responsible for lost or stolen goods. 
      • The Stroppel Hotel and Mineral Baths are not responsible for injury or harm. 
  • ATTIRE:
    • Guest(s) must be fully clothed outside of their room, with exception to using the baths - then are required to have a towel around their bare torso.
  • ENTER / EXIT:
    • Guests are required to enter and exit from the Front Entrance, main street facing door, unless in case of emergency.
    • Don’t get locked out: the front desk will provide you will a code for re-entry into the hotel, please ensure that door is always closed and latched shut. The door will lock between 9pm and 9am the following morning. If the front door is left open and unlock by guest, this can lead to termination of one’s stay. Do not allow piggy backers who have “forgotten” their code. Do not share code, this is for all guest safety.
  • SAFETY:
    • Don’t burn the place down: Candles, Incense, vaping, etc. are prohibited. These items and activities will be treated as smoke, a fine assessed and the guest may be evicted with no refunds.
    • For the safety of our guests, staff and facility preparation of food in guest rooms by any type of cooking appliance is prohibited, please discuss grill and stove use options with the front desk
    • We can provide heaters at the request of the guest. They are not to be left unattended or left on in a vacant room.
  • HOUSEKEEPING:
    • Your comfort is very important to us. For guests staying multiple nights, bed linen is changed every third day if all personal items are removed from the bed. Housekeeping will be happy to change your bed linens sooner that every third day upon request. When towels need to be replaced you may leave them on the bathroom floor, and they will be replaced with fresh towels.
    • Management reserves the right to enter and inspect guest rooms at any time.
  • AMMENITIES:
    • Laundry available on-site, arrange with management at front desk during business hours
    • WiFi access is free to our registered guests. The hotel WiFi access code is subject to change without notice. WiFi signals are subject to change without notice. The Stroppel Hotel assumes no liability for guest use.
    • For your convenience we can arrange massage, sight seeing recommendations, local eatery options and more.
    • We enjoy allowing you a common area to reside and relax, please keep it clean. If you use a dish/cup/utensils etc, please wash, and clean up the table/chairs after yourself.
    • Parking provided in front of hotel along Main Street and Midland Ave.
    • All vehicles are parked at risk of the owner.
    • We will make every effort to honor special requests from guests upon reservation.
  • MANNERS:
    • It is agreed that the guest will conduct him/herself in a respectable manner and will not cause any nuisance or annoyance within the hotel premise. Guest must be respectful of the Hotel environment and staff, as well as other guests or patrons.
  • NOISE:
    • No parties, loud disturbances and/or noise nuisance are allowed or tolerated on the premise. In the event of a disturbance, one polite request (warning) will be given to reduce the noise. If our request is not followed, the guest will be asked to leave the hotel without refund.
  • VISITORS:
    • The hotel allows guests, with permission, to receive occasional packages and special deliveries at the property. We are not responsible for the packages or their contents or the storage of them.
    • Registered guests are responsible for all persons visiting. Non-registered visitors are only permitted until 9:00pm.
  • PETS:
    • Pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Limit 3 dogs per site/room. Dogs must be picked up after and feces to be disposed of in outside garbage reciprocal. Pets are not to be tied outside of your RV/vehicle when you are not in the park/hotel and are not to be left unattended at any time. No ground tie-downs permitted. If any pet demonstrates aggressive behavior toward another pet or human, you will be asked to leave the RV site. No excessive barking! Pets must be potty trained.
  • DAMAGE:
    • The facilities of the Hotel are for the enjoyment of all guests. To this end, case shall be taken to respect the infrastructure. In particular, furniture (to include tv & cable boxes) shall not be moved and nothing may be fixed to furniture or walls.
    • The Stroppel Hotel reserves the right to charge guests additional cleaning or damage fees should they fail to comply with the above-mentioned rules.
    • Damage discovered after check-out – Guest will be held to 120% of full and new replacement value plus any shipping and handling charges
  • RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE:
    • The Stroppel Hotel is privately owned and operated. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason(s) that does not violate Federal or State laws. The Stroppel Hotel has a zero tolerance policy in which we will refuse to admit or refuse service or accommodation in our hotel or may remove a person without refund, who refuses to abide by the reasonable standards and policies established by the State of South Dakota and the Owners of the operation and management of the hotel.
  • VIOLATION OF HOUSE RULES:
    • Management has the right to request any guest to vacate his/her room or other areas of the hotel forthwith, without previous notice and without assigning any reason whatsoever, and the guest shall be bound to vacate when requested to do so. In case of the default, the Management has the right to remove the Guest luggage and belongings from the room occupied by him/her.
  • FEEDBACK:
    • If you have suggestions on hotel service or if you have technical problems in your room, please notify management as your earliest convenience. In case of late notice for any complaints that you might have, when hotel has no chance to react, those situations will not be considered as a reason for rate discount accommodation.
  • NOTE:
    • We assume that all Guests are familiarized and fully understand the Hotel House Rules at the beginning of their stay in our Hotel.

THE MANAGEMENT RESERVES TO ITSELF THE RIGHT TO ADD TO, OR ALTER OR AMEND ANY OF THE ABOVE TERMS, CONDITIONS AND RULES WHICH ARE A PART AND AN ABSTRACT OF THE LODGING ACT.



I cannot believe I have to put this in:  Absolutely NO SOLICITATION OF SEXUAL ACTS OF ANY KIND!!  Absolutely no Drugs or Paraphernalia on property!!
